Hello friends, I know I haven’t really been on a consistent blog schedule. Like I have stated from previous post, your girls life is just all out of whack. I’m really pushing myself, and I hope to be on a more regularly schedule soon. Now, that we have all that out of the way, let’s talk about my latest collaboration with my wonderful fashionista sisters. It is truly amazing when you see a graphic t-shirt and realize it speaks volumes with five magical words.
Use Your Power To Empower, think about that statement and ask yourself are you using your power to empower? I like to think in everything I do, professionally, and personally I’m doing so. We all have “Power” but it’s what we do with it that will make the difference. This collaboration with my girls embodies this statement to a T. The world has been consumed with social media, and for that reason as women we need to work together to uplift one another. I remember when I first started blogging, I reached out to several bloggers just asking for advise. In my mind, I thought they probably wouldn’t respond, because I had heard they talk about being supportive, but never really do. Boy was I wrong!
Fast forward, not only did I get support, I’ve met some amazing women on this journey. Empowering each other comes in so many forms…From offering advice, being that listening ear, and encouraging one another. I have been so down, and here’s where the encouraging part comes in. My fashionista sisters not only gave me words of wisdom, they were present in the moment to offer support. I received text messages, ensuring that if I needed anything, they were there for me. So, when I think about that, I’m brought to tears, because these women really get me. Now, you tell me if this isn’t using your power to empower I don’t know what is.
A New Day + Vital Voices pieces at Target showed the world that women can work together and inspire one another, one tee at a time. Are you doing your part to uplift your fellow sister? I styled my look, with a plaid blazer purchased last year from Rainbow, black skirt (old) from A’gaci, and my thigh high boots. I truly believe thigh high boots were designed to be worn with short skirts. What do you think? Don’t forget to check out more details of my fashionistas sisters looks.

I was so feeling how Lydia styled her look, I had to find out more about that skirt though. Adding the plaid skirt to the look, definitely brought it home.
What more can I say about this look other than fabulous. Those boots elevated the entire look.
The look Ayesha gave me was a bit edgy with a sporty vibe, and I was so here for it. I told y’all this girl boot game is FIRE!
This look had me at the pants. Reyni showed us how taking a classic pair of pants can really bring a statement tee to life.
